Simone Lahorgue Nunes launches book on the key legal challenges in Media and Entertainment

Simone Lahorgue Nunes, founding partner of our firm, recently launched her new book Media and Entertainment Law Textbook, the first Brazilian publication dedicated to the legal aspects of the Media and Entertainment industry.

Written in Portuguese, the book draws on over two decades of experience in the sector including her experience as in-house counsel for many years. It offers an original and interdisciplinary approach to the most relevant legal issues affecting the industry today.

Topics covered include: the foundations of copyright law; the legal framework applicable to various entertainment content formats; the specificities of talent agreements; the particularities of the advertising market; and the challenges of the digital age, with special attention to the transformations driven by artificial intelligence, among others.

With accessible language and a practical focus, the book aims to support the education and development of professionals interested in understanding the unique and often controversial legal issues in this constantly evolving field.

Launch events took place in São Paulo on June 26, Rio de Janeiro on June 30, and Porto Alegre on July 2.
