Last week, our founding partner Simone Lahorgue participated in events in Brasilia to introduce Equality Now – a global NGO – to members of the Brazilian Government and Chambers of Deputies. The organization, where Simone occupies a seat on the board, promotes the rights of women and girls.
The Women Entrepreneurs Caucus (FPME) organized a session at the Chamber of Deputies, where a discussion about “The role of congress in promoting inclusion and equality” took place. Mona Sinha, Equality Now’s Executive Director participated in the discussion and in a meeting with the Social Communication Secretariat (SECOM) invited Brazil to join the Alliance for Universal Digital Rights (AUDRi).
