Our experience in the field of Privacy & Data Protection dates long before Congress began the discussions about the bill for the Brazilian Data Protection Law (LGPD – Law no. 13.709/2018), at a time where issues involving this matter were settled solely by the constitutional principle of the right to privacy.
The international experience of our founding partner, Simone Lahorgue Nunes (Certified Information Privacy Professional / Europe CIPP-E, Certified Information Privacy Manager CIPM, and Certified Data Protection Officer CDPO/BR), combined with her knowledge gained as co-chair of the Technology Law Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA) during the 2015/2016 bi annual term, has provided our team with a unique opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of the European framework, specifically the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which inspired the Brazilian LGPD. Therefore, our legal team has the expertise required to assist GPDR-compliant clients in adapting to the LGPD.
